Summer is finally here in Minnesota and we have been enjoying the warmer temps.  The kids insisted on dragging the pool out and have spent days playing with the water hose already.  This is definitely a welcomed change from the parkas we were sporting about a month ago.  The change in season also means a change in wardrobe.  The kids spend many days in their swimwear during the Summer so I like to find pieces that cover well, protect, and  look stylish.  I worked with Sunuva last year and I was thrilled to be able to partner with them again to bring you this review and giveaway.

 Sunuva sent us the Boys Savannah Rash Vest and matching Savannah Swim Short for our son.  I really like the bright colors on the Rash Vest as I know I will be able to easily spot him at the beach or pool.  This is the first time we’ve had experience with a long sleeve rash guard and our son, who is seven, really likes it.  The lightweight quick dry material keeps him cool and protected from the sun.  Since the fabric is breathable, he has no issues with overheating.  This top offers UPF 50+ protection and blocks 97% of the sun’s harmful rays.  He typically wears size 7 clothes so I chose the 7/8 in this set.  It fits him nicely but I definitely think it’s a closer fit to a 7 so if your child is at the higher end of the size, I would suggest sizing up.  We have already washed his Savannah Rash Vest and Swim Shorts several times and they are holding up well showing no wash wear yet.

We were also sent the Girls Aqua White Bead Trim Dress for our daughter.  She still loves the dress she received last year from Sunuva so she was thrilled to try out another.  This particular dress is really pretty and gives off a “beach” feel.  It is very lightweight and flows easily.  This dress is made from thin material that is slightly see-through but I feel it would make a perfect beach cover up.  Our daughter typically wears size 9 or 10 and this dress runs true to size as it is a 9/10.
