T.D. Tansil, born in Detroit, MI., loved reading and writing poetry as a child. Attending Cass Technical H.S., she studied Performing Arts and was cited as being a "gifted" young lady. Majoring in Journalism/Communications at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI, she also broadened her religious knowledge, by taking a number of theology courses. Tansil found studying world religions to be captivating and vast.
After graduating, she worked as a Detroit substitute school teacher, model, and business woman, however never forgetting her dream of one day being a professional play-write, author, and film maker. Tansil currently produces and directs a television show, "URBANesque Living" seen Saturdays on Comcast TV-68 at 2:30 p.m.
She is thrilled to finally have obtained the title of "author"...with the intention of writing acclaimed poetry, novels, and plays for the rest of her life.
