Budget Lip Exfoliator!

I exfoliate my lips every two weeks to get rid of dry skin and also give a smooth base for lipsticks. I add some sugar to two teaspoons of olive oil to make it into a thick paste. I then rub it onto my lips for 5-10 seconds and then wash it off. It’s a really cheap way to exfoliate your lips with stuff you’ll have in your house. Plus it doesn’t taste horrible 🙂

Sleek Make Up

I’ve already done a post about Sleek make up offers on at the moment at Boots (2 for £10 including a £12.99 set of 7 make up brushes). This brand is really one to watch. I bought the brow kit which is extremely similar to Benefit Brow Zings for fraction of the price, and even less if on offer, and a neutral eyeshadow palette which is similar to Urban Decay Naked palettes, at again the fraction of the price. I’ve also tried their matte lip glosses, which are amazing. My favourite is a nude pink colour which I wear all the time, and it doesn’t dry out your lips and stays on all day! They also do a lovely highlighting palette (£9.99) and a face form contouring and blush palette (£9.99), which under the offer of 2 for £10 means a massive saving of £9.98!!! Their make up really is good quality and when it’s on offers like 2 for £10 they really are not one to be missed. Boots also offer free delivery to your local store on £10 or over spends. 🙂

Clearance Sections

I find that this works in mainly Boots stores. The majority of Boots stores will have a clearance section with a range of products. If you see products you like in the clearance section, look elsewhere in the store to see what offers that brand/product is on. For example, recently in my local Boots there was a little clearance tub of Barry M nail varnishes priced £2 each. Fab. I went to the Barry M module in the store and saw that Barry M cosmetics were on buy one get one half price. So I picked two nail varnishes from the clearance section (Gelly in Lychee and Paprika) and the total for those two nail varnishes was £3. Bargain! In Boots in York I saw some Botanics semi permanent hair dye in the exact colour I wanted in the clearance section for £1 each. Great! I had a look at the hair dye section and noticed that hair dyes were on a 3 for 2 offer, so I took 3 of the Botanics semi permanent dye that were in the clearance section to the till, and the 3 for 2 offer applied to those also, so the total of the 3 dyes was £2! So be aware of other offers that anything on clearance may be in elsewhere in the store as more often that not even though it is in clearance the offer still applies. 🙂
