In the past 2 years, I’ve tried all three rideshare services that are allowed to operate in New York City. The largest is Uber, followed by Lyft and then Gett Taxi. Each have their pluses and minuses. Uber and Lyft’s biggest plus is the sheer number of cars they have roaming the streets of New York. Gett, on the other hand, is very small for now and could mainly be hailed in Midtown, although they are constantly trying to recruit more drivers. A huge plus for Gett is that they offer $10 rides anywhere in Manhattan between Houston Street and 59th Street! It is an amazing deal and one that hopefully lasts.

I’ve found that the drivers for all three services are professional and most importantly, have clean comfortable cars. I’ve found that at times, you may order a lower level of service and then a SUV shows up!
