Smartphones So QR Codes Are
An Asset That Must Be Utilized
OK, I’ll be the first to admit that I could not give you a technical explanation of what a QR code is if my life depended on it.
All I know is that QR is a coded way to send lots of vital information in an extremely easy to use format.
Just think about typing one of those annoyingly long urls into your phone to get to a desired website.
With a QR code you can simply scan it and be instantly directed to the desired online location.
I’ve gotten very hungry working on this post, so I’m going to take a quick break for a snack.
OK. I’m back. When you work at home and you are your own boss, you can take a break anytime you want.
Life is good!
Most of the newer smartphones have a built-in QR code reader (where you can also create your own codes), but if your phone is lacking, you can download a free app such as:
- Android:
- QR Droid Code Scanner
- i-nigma Reader
- iPhone:
- QR Reader for iPhone
- Qrafter
You can create your own QR code with these free online PC resources:

Your QR code will be displayed after you simply paste the source code into your blog and homepage.
As a routine part of your Internet marketing arsenal you should always carry business cards featuring your blog/website/business.
Its a powerful marketing move to have a link to your opt-in list on your business card in the form of a QR code.
At the bottom(?) of the form page have another QR code linking to your online business card.
This QR code/Opt-in form page should be a distinct page (unique url) different from the opt-in page you normally use, because the design should be different.
Build your list!!
Or as an alternative, you can print the QR Code on your offline business card which leads directly to your online business card.
Then, when your online business card is opened on their mobile device, individuals can direct call, mail, and/or save your business card to their contacts.
Finally, perhaps in a sidebar widget, use a QR code as an alternative way for mobile users to share your quality content.
Add these QR resources to your mobile marketing arsenal ASAP.
