President Donald J. Trump has done it yet again! A masterful negotiator, he’s secured a record breaking trade deal with the European Union. Trump and the EU agreed to work on lowering tariffs, averting a potential trade war.

“We agreed today, first of all, to work together towards zero tariffs, zero non-tariff barriers and zero subsides for the non-auto industrial goods,” Trump said at a joint press conference in the White House Rose Garden with European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker.

President Trump stated this was a “new phase” of the relationship between the United States and the European Union. The European Union agreed to lower tariffs and buy more soy beans as well.
