HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - If you are looking for a new dog or cat, Huntsville Animal Services has a deal for you.

The city shelter has taken in more than 177 animals in the first two weeks of January.

With little space left, the shelter is offering a $10 adoption special.

Officials say they are simply running out of room - and time is running out.

"It will probably be even tomorrow that we have to euthanize some pets for space," said Dr. Karen Shepard. "Its unfortunate, but everyday we get in about 15 animals, and with every dog kennel full we just don't have the space."

The special includes shots, a one-year city pet license, microchip, and spay or neuter surgery.

Huntsville Animal Services is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday.
