The album “They Only Come Out At Night” peaked at number 3 on the Billboard charts and stayed on the chart for 80 weeks; on it’s way to double platinum. Edgar Winter’s live shows constantly receive rave reviews. Winter is a musician at the top of his game, and he’s proved he can do it all.

They were dubbed “animals” because of their wild stage act and the name stuck. Their first huge #1 hit, “House of the Rising Sun” featured Burdon’s howling vocals and a dramatic arrangement, creating arguably the first folk rock hit. Intense gritty pop-music covers such as Sam Cooke’s “Bring It On Home To Me” and the Nina Simone number “Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood” soon followed. Working class anthems “We Gotta Get out of This Place” and “It’s My Life” are radio staples to this day.
