Prime Day 2017 – a complete list of Kindle and Fire deals

Prime Day is no longer a one-day shopping event. Addressed to subscribers of Amazon Prime multi-benefit program, the promotion started this year at the end of June, with new deals joining in every day.

Obviously, most of the deals are to be found on that special day – Prime Day 2017. Book your time on Tuesday, July 11.

In fact, the show time will start a bit earlier, on Monday, at 9 PM Eastern Time, when Amazon will reveal a majority of deals, most attractive ones among them.

Below, you’ll find a complete list of Amazon Prime Day 2017 that relate to digital books, audiobooks, and Amazon devices: Kindle e-readers and Fire tablets.

How to find Prime Day 2017 eligible items on Amazon?

Prime Day items are marked – when you browse Amazon and find the product you are interested in, check out the price box on the right side.

When the item is offered as a Prime Day deal, you’ll find a special info about it, mentioning the discount, and asking you to join Prime (see the screenshot).

Check out Prime Day landing page – all the major deals are featured in this special section of Amazon online store. All deals that refer to Kindle devices or ebooks are shown in bright yellow boxes.

What if you want to take advantage of Prime Day, but are not a Prime member yet? The deals are offered to existing Prime members, but also to anyone who signs up to Prime. Once you complete the registration, you’ll have access to all Prime Day 2017 deals – that’s how it works.

Prime Day 2017 is a worldwide event. It’s running not only in the US but in every other Amazon store, where Prime membership is offered: UK, Spain, Japan, Italy, Germany, France, Canada, Belgium, and Austria.

Prime Day 2017 Kindle and Fire sale

Save up to $50 on Kindle e-readers

Prime Days are always a great occasion to update the Kindle e-reader. Price cuts are usually the same – if not higher – than offered during the pre-Christmas season.

Prime Day 2017 brings the deals on all Kindle e-readers, including (yes!) the top-shelf Oasis.

• Save $30 on the basic Kindle – this entry-level Kindle model was introduced in mid-2016, and comes in two colors – White and Black. Its price for Prime members is now only $49.99 – a $30 price cut from the regular $79.99,
• Save $30 on Kindle Paperwhite – if you read a lot in the evening, you should go for the front-lighted Paperwhite, refreshed in 2016. It’s also offered in two colors: White or Black. The regular price is $119.99 but Prime members can have if for $89.99,
• Save $50 on Kindle Voyage – while the price cut on two cheaper models is $30, you can save more on the premium Kindle Voyage. The current price is $149.99, slashed from $199.99), and the savings are $50,
• Save $50 on Kindle Oasis – the most advanced Kindle e-reader ever released rarely makes it into promotions, but Prime Day is an exception. Today only you can get the Oasis for $309.99, and save $50 (14%), as the regular price is $359.99.

You are probably asking yourself a question: fine, I’ll get the Kindle, but what next? Next, you can benefit from several book-related features of Prime membership. Here they are:

• you can borrow one book per month from Kindle Owners’ Lending Library,
• you can get free access to Amazon Prime Reading,
• the Kindle, as well Prime-eligible print books, can be shipped for free,
• you can get one Kindle First ebook a month, at no extra cost,
• you can get free access to Audible Channels.

Now, once you’ve decided to get the Kindle, you may want to give it an extra protection. A case? A screen protector? Both? And now comes the disappointment: don’t expect too many Prime Day deals on Kindle cases and accessories.

Amazon Fire 7 (2017) for only $29.99

All Fire tablets have prices cut for Prime Day, but the entry-level 7-inch Fire deserves a special note.

The price of Amazon Fire 7, the model refreshed a month ago, has been slashed by as much as $20 (40% saving), ending up with a price for Prime members that’s $29.99 ($49.99).

Never before an Amazon e-reader or tablet had been offered for a price that low. During Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2016, Amazon Fire 7 (the 2016 version) was on sale for $33.

Prime Day is clearly setting up the price standard when it comes to Amazon devices. We are sure Amazon Fire 7 will be offered for $29.99 during Black Friday or Cyber Monday 2017, so if you are not a Prime member (and don’t want to sign up), you’ll have to wait until November.

Amazon Fire tablets up to $120 off

As I already mentioned, there is a big sale of Amazon Fire tablets during Prime Day 2017. It includes single tablets, special editions, and a new 3-pack of Fire HD 8. The last item is the one where you can save the most – 120 dollars!

Let’s go through all the deals:

• Save $120 on Fire HD 8 Variety Pack – if you want to buy tablets for your entire family, this pack is the best deal you can get. The pack includes three 8-inch Fire tablets – one Black, one Marine Blue and one Punch Red. Each one with 16 GB, vibrant HD display, a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor, 1.5 GB of RAM, and Dolby Audio. Buy these tablets separately and you’ll pay $239.97. Get the Prime Day deal and spend only $119.97,
• Save $30 on Fire HD 8 – if you don’t want to buy the 3-pack, you can still save big on the Fire HD 8. The Prime Day 2017 price is set at $49.99 ($79.99) – in other words, you can get the 8-inch Fire with a HD display for the regular price of the smaller Fire 7,
• Save $20 on Amazon Fire 7 – we’ve mentioned it already: the entry-level Fire costs only $29.99, instead of the regular price of $49.99,
• Save $30 on Fire 7 Kids Edition – the edition includes the 2017 Fire 7, a heavy-duty case perfect for kids, a 2-year worry-free guarantee, and 1 year of Amazon FreeTime Unlimited. Your price is $69.99, down $30 from $99.99,
• Save $40 on Fire HD 8 Kids Edition – again, the Fire tablet plus kid-prof case plus 2-year guarantee plus 1 year of Amazon FreeTime Unlimited. The price has been slashed by $40, so that you can buy the device for $89.99 instead of $129.99.

Save up to 40% on Kindle Unlimited

This deal is valid from June 29 to July 11, 2017, and can be accessed only by the members of Amazon Prime multi-benefit subscription program.

Kindle Unlimited digital subscription, which includes Kindle ebooks, but also magazines and audiobooks, can be purchased at a considerable discount if you decide to go with one of the prepaid plans:

• 6 months – $44.95 $59.94 – save 25%,
• 12 months – $80.32 $119.88 – save 33%,
• 24 months – $143.85 $239.76 – save 40%.

Please, bear in mind that you’ll pay the full amount for the entire period you choose immediately – there is no free trial in prepaid plan promotions.

If you are a current Kindle Unlimited monthly subscriber (and an Amazon Prime member, obviously), you can redeem this offer, and automatic renewals will be temporarily suspended for the duration of the prepaid subscription you’ve picked.

Get 40% back towards your next book

If you decide not to join Kindle Unlimited, you can still take advantage of being a Prime subscriber.

Today only, when you buy any ebook in the Kindle Store, you will earn 40% credit back towards your next book.

The good thing is that you can redeem the credit on either a Kindle or print edition.

All you have to do it to buy a Kindle ebook today, by 11:59 pm PST. Within 24 hours, you will receive an e-mail confirming the promotional credit has been added to your account.

Please note that the credit expires on July 25, 2017.

Save up to $100 on Kindle and Fire bundles

If you are going to buy the Kindle and for 100% want to add some accessories, getting a relevant bundle is always a way to save. The rule is that the Kindle bundle – even when it’s not discounted – costs less than the sum of its elements sold separately.

Amazon offers deals on Kindle bundles for almost every occasion – Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Mother’s Day, back to school, and, obviously, Prime Day. It’s an extra way of saving money.

One thing to highlight is that the recently introduced Kindle travel bundles are also on a list.

Below, you’ll find Kindle and Fire bundles featured on Prime Day 2017.

• Save $100 on Kindle Paperwhite Travel Bundle – this bundle includes the latest-generation Kindle Paperwhite, Amazon’s premium leather cover, power adapter, and Caseable travel bag. Buy the items separately and you will pay $269.96. If you are a Prime member, you will pay $100 less – $169.96. The saving is almost what you are paying for one year of Prime membership,
• Save $35 on Kindle for Kids Bundle – if you are going to buy the Kindle for the younger member of your family (or simply want to give the Kindle maximum protection), Kindle for Kids is the right bundle to pick up. It includes the latest-generation basic Kindle model (the one without the front-lighted display), 2-year worry-free guarantee, and a durable cover in one of five colors. You can get it for $89.99 instead of paying the full price of $124.98,
• Save $50 on Kindle Paperwhite Essentials Bundle – Kindle Paperwhite is bundled with Amazon’s original leather cover and power charger, and you can take advantage of the price cut that makes it available for $129.97 instead of $179.97,
• Save $45 on Kindle Esentials Bundle – the same bundle as the one mentioned above but with the basic Kindle instead of Paperwhite. You can save $45, as the price is brought down to 84.97 for Prime members,
• Save $50 on Fire HD 8 Essentials Bundle – the Fire tablet with the 8-inch high-definition screen can be bundled with original Amazon case cover and Nupro Screen Protector. The regular price of the bundle is $122.97 but you can get it for only $72.97 if you are a Prime subscriber.

Save 40% on Audible subscription

Again, this is a deal available only to the current subscribers of Amazon Prime program. The deal ends at midnight of Prime Day 2017, which is June 11.

Until then, Amazon Prime members can save 40% on 6 months of Audible subscription. It means that during this period you’ll pay $8.95 per month for the Gold plan, instead of the regular fee of $14.95.

When you join Audible via this Prime Day deal, you’ll get the same benefits as regular Gold members: one audio credit per month, unlimited listening to Audible Channels, offline listening with premium quality and no ads, exclusive member-only savings.

After six months, if you don’t cancel the subscription, Audible will start charging the regular price of $14.95.

Audible offers over 180,000 titles in several categories, including mystery, fantasy, nonfiction, or history books. You can also have access to premium podcasts and original comedy.

Save $30 on Certified Refurbished Kindle Paperwhite

This deal is listed among Prime-exclusive offers, but it’s valid only on Sunday, June 9, 2017.

Certified Refurbished Kindle Paperwhite is refurbished, tested, and certified to look and work like new. It’s available in either Black or White color.

Its regular price is $109.99 for the Wi-Fi version. You can, however, get it for $79.99 and keep $30 in your pocket if you are an Amazon Prime member.

20 Kindle bestsellers for $2.99 or less

This deal, although addressed to Prime members, is valid only on July 9, 2017, and most probably it will be replaced with a new Prime Day sale on Kindle ebooks.

If you are already a Prime subscriber, you can grab on Sunday, July 9th, best-selling Kindle ebooks for either $1.99 or $2.99 each.

On the list, you’ll find the best-selling novel by Emily Bleeker, When I’m Gone. Prime members can get it today for $1.99, while regular Amazon customers will have to pay $5.99.

The list price of the Kindle edition of Amy Poehler’s Yes Please is $16.99, but in today’s Prime-exclusive deal the book costs only $2.99.

The #1 New York Times bestselling memoir of U.S. Navy Seal Chris Kyle, American Sniper is $1.99. The same price is offered today for Tuesday, the second book in the Timeless series by E. L. Todd, or William Craig’s Enemy at the Gates.
